How do we stay healthy and fit in Mexico?

People often ask us how we keep fit and healthy, especially when we live in a country that fries a lot of its food and thrives on breads, sweets and fried beans. It's a known fact that 75% of Mexico's adult population is either obese or overweight. When we arrived here, we ate a lot of tacos and realized quickly that it wasn't serving us well. So here are some of the things that we do that keeps us healthy, fit, lean and sane:

JUICING - We recently started juicing greens and have found the benefits to be incredible. However, with the cost of food rising rapidly, buying organic produce was putting a huge dent in our wallet so when the Tower Garden was introduced to us, we knew this is what we needed. If you are eating at least $2.00 worth of vegetables a day, take a look at the aeroponic Tower Garden. Your initial investment is going to cost you $2/day tops, for a year, for a daily all-you-can-eat buffet and then she's paid for! $2 a day for an all-you-can-eat buffet! It’s like having your very own farmers market… fresh, pesticide free, and so much taste! Here is a quick minute video showing how it all works.
